Paulina grew up in Milanowek, a small town near Warsaw, Poland known for its gardens,
ancient oak trees, and artistic and bohemian traditions. She graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 2003,
obtaining her Master's degree in painting and lithography under the supervision of professors Jaroslaw Modzelewski and
Wieslaw Winiecki. In October of 2005, she moved to Fresno where she teaches art, paints as much as she can, and works to
establish herself as an artist.
Working from sketches and photographs, Paulina utilizes the traditional medium of oil on canvas to tell stories of daily life,
seeking to find the poetry and mystery hidden in the prosaic. While living in Milanowek, her work reflected the character of that place,
especially its curious mixture of the old and new. Her more recent work reflects life in Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley.
